Nor-Cal Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Vernon Olson to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Olson joined Nor-Cal as Director of Operations in June 2006 and brings over 25 years of Operational Leadership experience to this position. He has served in roles as Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Materials, and Division President within the Aerospace/DOD, Pressure Control, Fluid Power, Medical and Semiconductor industries, with revenues exceeding $140 million.

While working with such companies as Greer Hydraulics, G&H Technologies and Rix Industries, Inc. he developed and established global supply chain networks within various commodities. Mr. Olson has proven to be particularly skilled in Lean Manufacturing techniques and has generated significant cost reductions as well as increases in revenue streams. During his tenure with Nor-Cal he has re-focused the factory, implemented Continuous Improvement Programs, reduced costs, improved delivery performance and increased gross margins.

In addition to his extensive experience, Mr. Olson’s background includes Bachelor of Science studies at Diablo Valley College and Chapman College. Additional courses; Fairchild Executive Management Program, TQM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP/MRP, SPC, Project Management, Executive Finance, and Demand Flow.

In response to an explosion of new business in Asia, Nor-Cal Products, Inc. (Yreka, CA) has opened Sales and Service offices in Suwon, South Korea.

Since 1962, Nor-Cal Products has been improving valve designs and expanding our product line in order to offer valves for almost every vacuum application.  The new JV series valves are designed to meet the demanding high-cycle requirements of semiconductor equipment manufacturers, yet offer the researcher a cost effective solution for UHV system roughing.

In addition to pneumatic actuation, JV series valves offer a unique manual actuator for course throttling which allows partial opening by specified and repeatable intervals. Electromagnetic actuators are available for portable or table-top systems that do not have compressed air available. Right-angle and in-line bodies are available with KF 16, 25, 40 and 50 flanges.

JV series valves are up to 10 million cycle rated, have a small footprint and offer a wide range of options. Actuation options are Electromagnetic, Pneumatic or Manual with course throttling. Body styles include Right Angle and In-line from either low cost aluminum or stainless steel. Other Options are Position Indicators, “Snap-on” coils on electromagnetic actuator and special o-ring materials.
